The Madison Warhawks squad, heavy with 10 rising freshmen players defeated the Herndon / John Champe team 11-6. With only one penalty and a blistering 49 shots on goal, the Warhawks stifled the opponents. Max Marr recorded 5 goals and 1 assist, rising freshmen Jacob Alford and Ben Cowell each recorded a goal and 2 assists. Additional goals were by Jack Hunter, John Mannino, Joseph Emery and Will Albrittain. Contributing on the assists were Evan Wilken (3), Joseph Emery, Gavin Fink and Evan Scigaj. Madison pressured Herndon though all 3 periods with Herndon mounting a comeback midway through the 2nd period however the Warhawks would shift into high gear in the 3rd and not look back scoring their last 2 goals fifteen seconds apart.
