Warhawks edged out by Gonzaga 2-3

The Warhawks struggled against Gonzaga on Sunday, spending much of the time in their defensive zone and getting out-shot 16-44. Despite the big deficit in shots, an impressive goal tending effort by freshman Ben D'Haiti kept the Warhawks in the game. After a scoreless first period, the Eagles took the lead early in the second. The Warhawks quickly responded with an unassisted goal from sophomore Will Albrittain. At end of second, sophomore Matt Hetherington, assisted by Nick Willey put the Warhawks in the lead. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. With a barrage of shots, the Eagles tied up the game and then took the lead in the third finishing ahead of the Warhawks 3 - 2.
