From the first whistle the Warhawks struggled to keep pace against the deep bench of a combined Stone Bridge / Broad Run team. Much of the first and second periods were played in the Warhawks defensive zone and the Warhawks fell behind by 2 points. A comeback attempt was started at the end of the second with a precision shot from the point by junior Noah Thompson that squeaked in between the bar and goalie. After a 3rd Bulldog goal at the start of the third period, the Warhawks finally started to step up the pressure and managed to narrow the Bulldog lead to back to 1 point with Noah Thompson's second goal of the night assisted by Alex Tudan. Unfortunately a lengthy series of penalties kept the Warhawks down a man for most of the remaining time. They did managed to neutralize the Bulldog power play but were unable to even up the score. The Warhwaks play next on 1/15 at 9:40 in Reston against Paul VI.
