Led by goalie Dean "The Wall" Kern, the Warhawks closed out the 2015/16 season by defeating a combined Oakton/Chantilly squad 8-0. This was the Warhawk's third shutout in a row and fourth consecutive win. The Warhawks were led off by freshman Sammy Thompson, scoring just 10 seconds into the first period on a well placed centering pass from freshman Ben Kiyokawa. Sammy put another puck in the net less that 2 minutes later, assisted by freshman Jeffrey Hunter. The Warhawks just continued building momentum in the first with 4 additional goals - 2 from freshman Jeffrey Hunter, 1 from junior Alex Tudan and 1 from captain Kamron Sarmadi. The Warhawks slowed their pace down in the 2nd period with just a single goal from freshman Miller Williams on an assist from behind the net by Kamron Sarmadi. The highlight of the evening was a tip-in goal by sophomore Katie Ricketts on a shot from the point by junior Noah Thompson. This was Katie's first NVSHL goal. Congrats!
